About Us
VB Custom Homes is a family-owned business founded by Kelly Dickerman, with his wife, Linda, and daughter, Cassondra. With over 40 years in the commercial construction and home building industry.
Kelly built his first home at the age of 18, while working in the commercial construction industry. Kelly proved himself and worked his way up to managing large scale commercial construction projects greater than $50M. In 2009, Kelly started his own Commercial Construction company, Vertical Build. Vertical Build has successfully served as a general contractor and subcontractor in over 15 building sectors. Throughout his 40 years, Kelly continued to build custom homes on the side. Much of Cassondra’s childhood was playing on residential home construction sites watching her parents build houses.
Linda Dickerman first degree was in interior design and started her career working for a boutique investment firm that developed large scale commercial and residential projects. After getting her CPA license, Linda started a boutique comprehensive tax and financial services firm aimed at high-net worth entrepreneurs, investors and small business owners in 2002. She also holds her Real Estate Sales License in 3 states where she helps her clients find sound residential investment properties. Linda has a passion for flipping residential homes and started doing this on the side.
Cassondra Winter started her career working for ExxonMobil as an engineer. Her 17 years of experience at ExxonMobil included running large scale multi-million dollar projects and leadership roles across the globe. She ran complex projects as extreme as building ice roads on the North Slope of Alaska to turbine overhauls off the West Coast of Africa. While working at ExxonMobil she got her MBA, focused on Entrepreneurship. Cassondra loves watching designs come to life.
When Cassondra decided to join the family business, the family decided to build upon their passion for homes and expanded VB Custom Homes to North Houston Area.
At VB Custom Homes we offer something unique. We combine our unique backgrounds – commercial construction, interior design, real estate, accounting, project management and engineering – and our passion for beautiful homes. At VB Custom Homes, we build houses as if we would live in them ourselves. Our high standards deliver a quality house with functionality and beautiful designs.
